Overview Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Day Porter Janitor, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our commercial and residential spaces spotless, safe, and welcoming. In this vital role, you'll be the first line of defense in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and order across various facilities. Your proactive approach will ensure that every corner of the environment reflects our commitment to excellence and professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your custodial expertise while contributing to a positive and productive atmosphere for all who enter. Duties Perform daily cleaning routines including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to maintain pristine floors and surfaces. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning tasks by following proper chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and touch-up painting to support facility upkeep. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks involving supplies, furniture, or equipment using safe lifting practices. Monitor facility conditions throughout the day, addressing spills or hazards promptly to ensure safety protocols are adhered to. Support custodial and janitorial operations by maintaining cleaning supplies inventory and ensuring equipment is in good working order. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of proper chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards. Skilled in operating cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward building occupants and visitors. Strong understanding of facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and general upkeep. Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and commercial cleaning protocols to ensure high-quality results. Pay:
$14.50 - $15.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
