Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Commercial Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our business facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Your attention to detail and commitment to high standards will help uphold our company's professional image and promote a healthy workspace. Responsibilities Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces across commercial spaces Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine flooring conditions Clean carpets thoroughly using appropriate equipment and techniques to remove stains and dirt Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met Handle janitorial tasks such as waste disposal, window cleaning, and surface polishing to uphold cleanliness standards Use environmentally friendly cleaning products whenever possible to promote sustainability and safety Follow safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial setting is preferred Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning is highly desirable Familiarity with environmental services practices that prioritize safety and sustainability Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, carpet extractors, and scrubbers effectively Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards in busy environments
