This vital role involves maintaining a pristine environment for staff and visitors alike, performing routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player with a keen eye for detail, ready to contribute to a welcoming and well-maintained space every day. Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively and safely. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning procedures, following all chemical handling safety protocols to prevent hazards. Conduct light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting touch-ups to support facility upkeep. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies or equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices. Monitor facility conditions regularly, reporting any safety concerns or maintenance issues promptly to ensure a safe environment. Provide excellent customer service by greeting visitors courteously and responding promptly to cleaning or maintenance requests. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and sanitation procedures is highly desirable. Experience handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures is a plus. Previous work involving facilities maintenance or general upkeep tasks will be advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safety protocols diligently. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
