Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Lead Custodian to oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of our facilities. This leadership role involves supervising custodial staff, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and managing cleaning operations across various areas. The ideal candidate will possess extensive custodial and industrial cleaning experience, demonstrate strong team management skills, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety. As a Lead Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities performed by custodial staff to ensure efficient operations. Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Conduct training sessions for team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety regulations, and sanitation procedures. Oversee the use of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and inventory management. Enforce safety protocols and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations to prevent hazards. Perform quality inspections across all areas to ensure cleanliness meets organizational requirements. Manage special cleaning projects such as industrial or commercial cleaning tasks. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, leadership, and conflict resolution. Collaborate with management to develop cleaning & sanitation policies that enhance operational efficiency. Address customer service inquiries related to facility cleanliness promptly and professionally. Qualifications Proven custodial or janitorial experience with a strong background in industrial or commercial cleaning environments. Prior supervisory or team management experience in a custodial setting. Knowledge of sanitation standards, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management practices. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct staff effectively. Excellent communication skills suitable for managerial interactions and team supervision. Experience with housekeeping management is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards. Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on safety and quality. Pay:
