Job Summary:
The Janitorial Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and professional environment throughout the facility. This position performs routine cleaning and disinfecting of offices, restrooms, break areas, floors, and common areas while ensuring all assigned tasks are completed according to company quality standards and customer specifications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Dust and clean office furniture, fixtures, shelves, blinds, vents, and other surfaces. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed. Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, including telephones, drinking fountains, doors, light switches, and walls. Vacuum carpeted areas and perform spot removal as needed. Dust mop and wet mop hard surface floors. Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, partitions, fixtures, and floors. Restock restroom paper products and supplies using customer-provided inventory. Clean and sanitize kitchen and breakroom counters, tables, sinks, microwaves, and appliance exteriors. Clean interior glass partitions and entrance glass to remove fingerprints and smudges. Perform monthly deep-cleaning tasks such as polishing furniture, wiping high and low surfaces, cleaning blinds, window ledges, and ceiling vents, and vacuuming upholstered furniture. Complete periodic floor maintenance, including carpet cleaning, spray buffing, or strip and wax services as requested. Maintain a clean and organized janitorial closet. Secure the facility by turning off lights, locking doors, and setting the alarm at the end of each shift. Follow all company safety policies, use cleaning chemicals properly, and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
Ability to perform physical work including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 30 pounds, and repetitive cleaning tasks. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
