Job purpose: The Sanitation Crew Member is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing processing equipment, production areas, and facility structures to ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, and company sanitation procedures. This role is critical to maintaining a hygienic environment to support the production of safe, organic juice products.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of all production areas.
• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, drains, and other facility areas using approved chemicals and tools.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and always wear appropriate PPE.
• Ensure compliance with

SQF, USDA

Organic, FDA, and internal hygiene standards.

• Work cooperatively with Maintenance and Production teams to minimize downtime and support daily start-up.
• Report any equipment issues, pest activity, or sanitation deficiencies to the QA Manager.
• Participate in sanitation-related training and follow all company safety rules and protocols.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in chemical storage and sanitation supply areas.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in sanitation or janitorial roles in a food manufacturing or related environment.
• Ability to follow written instructions, safety protocols, and chemical handling procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift to 50 lbs
• Pushing/pulling/bending/twisting
• Ability to stand more than 50% Environmental requirements:
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures
• Light exposure to processing chemicals Must be comfortable working around moving equipment and with sanitation chemicals.
