In this vital role, you will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming space for children, staff, and visitors by managing daily cleaning routines, maintaining sanitation standards, and supporting basic kitchen operations. Your proactive approach will foster a healthy environment conducive to learning and growth, while adhering to safety protocols and handling cleaning supplies responsibly. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the well-being of young learners through meticulous custodial care and efficient facility maintenance. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning restrooms, kitchen areas, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash disposal, and floor buffing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Assist with basic kitchen duties such as dishwashing, food prep support, and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces in accordance with sanitation guidelines. Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely during the movement of supplies or equipment, adhering to safe lifting practices at all times. Prepare kitchen Inventory, grocery shopping, asst w/ weekly menus This position is also the Floater and Bus Driver to assist w/ pick up at 2 Elementary Schools Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within educational or childcare settings. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and commercial cleaning equipment operation. Ability to handle chemical agents safely following safety protocol procedures. Manual handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with staff, children, and visitors. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as floor care (buffing), industrial cleaning, and residential painting is advantageous. Ability to work independently with attention to detail while maintaining a lively and energetic work ethic. Commitment to safety protocol adherence and maintaining a clean, healthy environment for all.
