Position Summary DFW Longhorn Electric is looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated Warehouse Porter / Material Runner to support our electrical service and project teams. This position plays an important role in keeping our warehouse, materials, specialty tools, deliveries, vendor returns, fleet records, and day-to-day operations organized so our field technicians can stay productive. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to become full-time based on performance, reliability, workload, and company needs. Key Responsibilities — Follow and maintain established company warehouse procedures and organization standards. — Keep the warehouse clean, organized, safe, and presentable at all times. — Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of the office and warehouse, including minor repairs, cleaning, changing filters, replacing light bulbs, assembling shelving or furniture, and similar tasks. — Receive, inspect, document, organize, and properly store incoming materials, equipment, and deliveries. — Track warehouse inventory and maintain accurate counts of commonly used electrical materials, tools, equipment, and supplies. — Pull, stage, and prepare materials for technicians and scheduled jobs. — Deliver materials, parts, equipment, and specialty tools to technicians and job sites throughout the DFW area. — Pick up materials and orders from electrical supply houses and other vendors. — Handle and document vendor returns, exchanges, credits, and warranty-related materials. — Maintain organization and documentation for materials being returned or awaiting vendor credit. — Track consignment materials and maintain accurate records of consignment inventory. — Identify unused or surplus material that cannot be returned and, with management approval, post items for sale and help coordinate their disposition. — Track specialty tools and equipment checked in and out to technicians and ensure they are returned, accounted for, and stored properly. — Maintain and distribute company wearables, uniforms, PPE, and related employee-issued items as directed. — Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles, vendor deliveries, tools, and project materials. — Maintain warehouse shelves, storage areas, staging areas, and surrounding work areas. — Collect, organize, and document technician gas receipts and other assigned fleet-related records. — Assist with collection, organization, and documentation of technician timesheets. — Assist with basic fleet management, including maintaining vehicle records, tracking scheduled maintenance or service needs, and communicating vehicle issues to management. — Help keep company vehicles, trailers, and warehouse equipment clean, orderly, and properly accounted for. — Use Excel and other company computer systems to maintain inventory, tool, material, fleet, receipt, return, and other operational records. — Communicate with office staff, project managers, technicians, and vendors regarding material needs, shortages, deliveries, pickups, returns, and equipment needs. — Notify management when inventory is running low, damaged, missing, improperly returned, or otherwise requires attention. — Perform additional warehouse, delivery, facility, fleet, and general operational support duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
— Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. — Must be comfortable driving throughout the DFW area. — Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work with limited supervision. — Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory, material, tool, and operational records. — Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to changing field and office needs. — Comfortable using a computer, smartphone, email, Microsoft Excel, and other basic tracking or documentation systems. — Able to safely lift, carry, load, and unload electrical materials, tools, and equipment. — Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, office environment, vendor locations, job sites, and occasionally outdoors. — Previous warehouse, construction, electrical supply, maintenance, delivery, fleet, or inventory experience is preferred but not required. — Basic knowledge of electrical materials and tools is a plus.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who understands that the warehouse is a critical part of our operation. The right person will take ownership of keeping materials, tools, deliveries, returns, inventory, consignment, wearables, fleet documentation, and the facility organized. We need someone proactive who notices when something needs to be cleaned, restocked, returned, delivered, documented, organized, or addressed and takes action without requiring constant direction.

Part-Time. Available to begin at 7 AM. —

Pay:
$15.62 - $16.65 per hour Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
