In this dual-role position, you will perform professional carpet and upholstery cleaning, as well as respond to emergency property restoration calls involving water, fire, smoke, and mold damage. The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, physically fit, and eager to learn or expand their knowledge in emergency restoration services. Key Responsibilities Carpet & Surface Cleaning Operate truck-mounted and portable carpet cleaning equipment, hot water extractors, and specialized cleaning tools. Inspect carpets, rugs, and upholstery to determine optimal cleaning methods, stain treatments, and deodorization techniques. Move and protect customer furniture during cleaning operations. Provide excellent customer service, explaining procedures and answering client questions. Mitigation & Emergency Response Respond to emergency water, fire, smoke, and mold damage calls. Perform water extraction, structural drying, and debris removal. Set up and monitor restoration equipment, including air movers, dehumidifiers, and air scrubbers. Take daily moisture readings, temperature checks, and psychrometric measurements to track drying progress. Assist with containment setup, microbial remediation, and light demolition (e.g., removing damaged drywall, flooring, or insulation). Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance Keep service vehicles clean, stocked, and organized. Maintain and clean equipment after every job to ensure proper working order. Report any safety hazards, mechanical issues, or damaged tools to management.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

1+ years of commercial/residential carpet cleaning or restoration experience preferred (will train the right candidate).

Certifications:

IICRC certification (CCT, WRT, or FSRT) is a plus.

Driver's License:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly, bend, crawl, and stand for extended periods.

Availability:

Willingness to participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule (nights, weekends, holidays).

Skills:

Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to complete job documentation and photos on a tablet/mobile device.
