Responsibilities Clean and maintain cleanrooms, gowning rooms, locker rooms, airlocks, and other controlled environments. Vacuum, mop, sticky roll floors, remove waste, and sanitize surfaces throughout the facility. Clean and disinfect doors, windows, benches, desks, chairs, carts, bins, racks, vents, walls, ceilings, and equipment. Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning schedules according to established procedures. Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and organized storage areas. Follow all cleanroom protocols, GMP/cGMP standards, contamination-control procedures, and safety guidelines. Accurately document completed cleaning activities and required records. Identify and report damaged equipment, worn floor mats, maintenance concerns, or safety issues. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain compliance with cleanroom requirements. Support overall facility cleanliness and operational excellence. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. No prior experience required; janitorial, housekeeping, warehouse, manufacturing, production, cleanroom, or GMP/cGMP experience is preferred. Ability to follow written instructions and detailed procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Basic computer skills for documentation and recordkeeping. Ability to read and understand chemical labels, safety instructions, and workplace procedures. Comfortable following strict cleanroom grooming and contamination-control requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to stand and walk for the duration of an 8-hour shift. Frequently bend, twist, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance. Comfortable working around machinery, moderate noise levels, and elevated areas when required. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Must be comfortable adhering to strict cleanroom requirements, including limitations on makeup, jewelry, fragrances, nail polish, artificial nails, lotions, gum, and certain hair products. Must be comfortable wearing required PPE, which may include safety-toed boots, safety glasses, cleanroom suits, hair and beard coverings, gloves, lab coats, ear protection, and high-visibility gear.
