Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Specific Job We are hiring for a building that is going right by the St George airport. Looking for 2 cleaners that will be able to switch off every other night to clean the building. Cleaning will be done 7 days a week between the hours of 8:30pm & 8am. Cleaning will take about 2 hours each clean. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas. Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and stripping as needed to ensure they are in optimal condition. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas regularly to uphold hygiene standards. Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies. Conduct minor maintenance tasks as needed to ensure facilities are safe and functional. Assist with commercial cleaning projects as required, including industrial cleaning tasks. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and in good working order. Qualifications Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is a plus. Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is advantageous. Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is desirable. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with others.
