Custodial Reports To:
Director of Facilities, Hargrave Military Academy Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Sweep, dust mop, wet mop, vacuum, scrub, refinish, and burnish hard-surface floors; shampoo and extract carpets. Clean furniture, including desks, filing cabinets, lockers, chairs, and other furnishings. Perform spot cleaning and project cleaning of walls, windows, light fixtures, vents, and other surfaces. Clean restrooms, including fixtures, supply dispensers, toilets, showers, tubs, and related areas. Collect and remove trash to dumpsters; clean trash receptacles as needed. Remove snow and apply ice-melt chemicals. Move furniture and complete room setups for special events. Operate motorized cleaning equipment requiring manual dexterity, as needed. Comply with all established regulatory, safety, and risk management guidelines. Work in a variety of environments while following assigned schedules and completing designated tasks during each shift. Assist in covering other work areas during a co-worker's absence and work additional hours or weekends, as needed, to meet operational requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by the President. Support the mission, values, and leadership of Hargrave Military Academy.
