Job Description

First Piedmont Corporation, a local full service waste hauling and recycling company is searching for a full time Truck Wash Attendant. The Truck Wash Attendant is responsible for detailing commercial trucks and trailers. They operate specialized washing equipment, apply cleaning chemicals, and maintain the wash facility. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Excellent Customer Service Excellent mechanical skills Ability to operate hand tools and landscaping equipment High Productivity Detail Oriented Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment & the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions.
Responsibilities Vehicle Washing & Detailing:
Use pressure washers, brushes, and detergents to clean the exterior and interior (washout) of semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, and tankers.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate, maintain, and troubleshoot washing equipment, hoses, and automated drive-through systems.
Preparation & Inspection:
Mix chemical cleaning solutions and inspect vehicles for damage, loose parts, or loose debris prior to washing. [1]
Facility Maintenance:
Keep the wash bay, equipment, and surrounding areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.
Customer Service:
Assist drivers and accommodate special cleaning requests. Wash each truck at least once, weekly. Dump trucks will be washed daily. Operate high pressure equipment and chemicals to remove dust, dirt, mud, grease and oil from exterior surfaces of vehicles. Operates high pressure water hose to clean and sanitize trailers Keep the wash area free of debris and ensure all wastewater is reclaimed. Once a month de-grease engine and rinse Clean in-floor drain, and dump sediment pans weekly Sweep and clean shop floors using an industrial broom and floor scrubber. Trash disposal Performs other duties as assigned. Full time- Non-exemptMonday-Friday & occasional Saturdays12pm-9pm (2nd shift)Drug-Free Workplace
