Full Time Custodian
Job Description
The Peninsula Airport Commission is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team to work Sunday - Thursday 6:00am - 2:30pm. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. This is an important role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for staff and visitors. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures Empty trash receptacles and replace liners Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including hallways, lobbies, and break rooms Perform floor care duties, such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and buffing Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines Skills To excel in this role, you should have the following skills: Experience in industrial or commercial cleaning preferred Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks Strong time management skills to prioritize work effectively Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good communication skills to interact with staff and visitors Join our team as a Custodian and contribute to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for all.
