Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across commercial interiors, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers to ensure optimal performance. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures, storage protocols, and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or contamination. Conduct grounds maintenance tasks such as trash removal, at times even lawn care, landscaping support, and outdoor sweeping to keep exterior areas tidy and well-kept. Support facilities maintenance efforts by reporting repairs needed for fixtures or infrastructure issues promptly. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings with a strong understanding of sanitation standards. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care such as buffing and polishing floors with appropriate equipment. Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocol guidelines. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with staff or visitors. Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and maintenance is preferred. Basic understanding of facilities maintenance procedures and industrial cleaning practices is advantageous. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
