What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Non-exempt Job Summary Responsible for completing and helping manage all of aspects daily plant clean up and sanitation of equipment, drains, floors, etc.
Essential Job Duties:
Confirms that all cleaning SOP's are being followed & completed on paper copies. Responsible for chemical concentration sanitizer testing and documents results. Inspects facility to assure cleanliness each day. Completes necessary reports on sanitation. Completes chemical inventory every Friday (when lead is not available). Responsible for reporting any issues that impact food safety or quality. Trains all new hires. Follows and enforces company safety, GMP, behavioral rules, & other policies in the employee handbook. Helps conducts allergen testing. Conducts RODAC testing(when lead is not available). Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong Knowledge of sanitation activities, GMP, and other food safety programs. Sanitation experience of 2 or more years. Leadership experience of 1 year. Knowledge of cleaning procedures and hazards.
Strong Math skills:
addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally. Walking, standing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling reaching frequently, use of hands and arms.
