Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaner Janitorial Worker to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities. We have several schedules available on morning and night shifts. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various chemical agents safely for cleaning, sanitation, and disinfecting purposes following all safety protocols and handling safety procedures. Maintain custodial supplies inventory and ensure all cleaning tools and equipment are in good working order. Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment to facilitate efficient cleaning routines. Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting as needed to support overall building upkeep. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any facility-related concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Might include some outside cleaning as well around dock areas Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with commercial or industrial cleaning standards. Experience handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures is essential. Proven ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively. Familiarity with sanitation practices and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in busy environments. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices. Previous experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning roles is advantageous. Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cleaning responsibilities efficiently. NON-Slip shoes are a requirement for this position.
