Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle chemical agents safely while cleaning surfaces, restrooms, floors, and other facilities in accordance with safety procedures. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Conduct floor care activities including buffing, polishing, stripping, and sealing floors to preserve their appearance and longevity. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning operations and handle heavy lifting with proper techniques to prevent injury. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation (including floor buffers), and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment. Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and cleanliness. Excellent time management skills to prioritize daily tasks efficiently. Customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices such as basic repairs or painting is a plus. Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
