Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

General Description:
Perform tasks to assist in maintaining a clean and safe learning environment. 5 days per week / 4 hours per day •There are two openings - one opening is a morning shift, and one is an afternoon shift.
Requirements:
Hold a high school diploma or GED Ability to read basic operating instructions and follow instructions from the head custodian and building principal. General knowledge of custodial operations Be at least 18 years of age, possess good moral character, and be of good health
Reports To:
Head Custodian & Building Principal
Essential Job Functions:
Maintain the interior of the school building. Sweep, mop, wax, dust, vacuum, and perform other general cleaning tasks in assigned area. Ensure the cafeteria is clean. Maintain sanitary conditions. Scrub and disinfect toilet doors daily and clean drinking fountains, urinals, toilet bowls, and other fixtures daily using materials that will keep them clean and sanitary. Wash all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year. Report any damage to school property, giving, when possible, the name of the person responsible. To be on duty in the building when events are scheduled outside of regular school hours, if such is requested by the head custodian. To remain on the premises during school/work hours. To perform other duties as assigned.
