Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU) is seeking a Custodian - 2nd Shift to join our team. This role is essential for providing a safe and clean learning environment for our students. We are looking for a reliable professional dedicated to maintaining high standards of facility cleanliness and safety. Primary Responsibilities Clean and maintain floors, including vacuuming, sweeping, washing, stripping, waxing, and buffing. Sanitize facilities such as bathrooms, windows, walls, water fountains, and sinks. Manage waste by emptying trash receptacles and picking up litter inside and around buildings. Support school operations through event setup/breakdown. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess 1 to 2 years of relevant housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience is preferred. Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff, and supervisors. Strong dependability and the ability to work independently to get things done. Capacity to stand/walk constantly and frequently lift or push/pull up to 25 lbs. Experience not required; paid training provided to all new hires.
