What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance/Custodial Director and the School Principal, and the immediate supervision of the Head Custodian; this position requires manual work relating to efficient performance of general cleaning and routine maintenance task. This job requires thorough execution of simple cleaning tasks which follow an established routine.QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED Must be at least 18 years of age. Physical ability to perform strenuous inside and outside work in all weather conditions. Experience and ability to work cooperatively with district staff and students. Willinness to learn An OSPI successful background check through the FBI and WSP.
