A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Emish Restaurant is a Ukrainian and European restaurant located in Federal Way, WA. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Janitor / Restaurant Cleaner to help maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our guests and employees. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and is able to complete cleaning tasks efficiently while following safety and sanitation procedures. What You'll Do Clean and maintain restaurant dining areas, restrooms, kitchen areas, and other assigned spaces Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, counters, and other surfaces Clean and disinfect restrooms, sinks, toilets, and other restroom areas Empty garbage and recycling containers Replace garbage bags and maintain clean waste areas Clean windows, doors, mirrors, and other glass surfaces as needed Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces Clean and sanitize high-touch areas regularly Assist with deep cleaning of restaurant areas and equipment Clean spills and other messes promptly and safely Use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to instructions Properly store cleaning supplies and equipment Monitor cleaning and supply levels and communicate when supplies need to be replenished Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures Maintain cleaning equipment in good condition Help maintain a safe and pleasant environment for guests and employees Assist restaurant staff with additional cleaning tasks when needed Complete opening and closing cleaning duties as assigned Work independently and manage assigned cleaning responsibilities efficiently
Work Schedule:
Full-time or part-time; schedule will be discussed during the interview. Weekend and holiday availability may be required depending on business needs.PayCompensation:
$18-21/h.Benefits:
Full-time employees are eligible for competitive employee benefits including paid sick leave (1 hour per 40 hours worked), partial employer-covered medical insurance (75% for full-time employees), and paid vacation: 1 week after 1 year of employment and 2 weeks after 2 years.
