Job Description

Summary of Role The Night Janitorial Lead supports evening and night janitorial staff across multiple sites in Whidbey Island . This role requires passing a full background check and experience in commercial janitorial services, strong self-motivation, minimal supervision, and a customer service mindset. It serves as a steppingstone to the Night Supervisor position and reports directly to Del Sol's Operations Manager. $200 Sign-on Bonus after 90-day probationary period.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and coordinate team efforts. Conduct quality control inspections at all assigned buildings to ensure cleaning standards are met using technology. Direct and assign janitorial tasks, address customer concerns or complaints, and resolve janitorial team operational issues efficiently. Train and supervise janitorial staff, ensuring compliance with cleaning protocols and safety procedures. Inspect janitorial equipment for proper function and ensure staff are adequately trained in its use and basic care. Willingness to cover shifts for janitorial and complete janitorial maintenance projects. Perform and support cleaning duties as needed, including - cleaning offices, libraries, meeting rooms, and removing all trash Cleaning offices, libraries, meeting rooms, and removing all trash Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, mirror, and refilling paper products, and soap dispensers Sweeping and mopping floors; cleaning countertops and high-touch surfaces Deliver janitorial supplies to designated buildings and ensure restocking as required Track inventory levels and place supply orders as needed Perform cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, floor stripping and waxing, and window cleaning. Ability to complete the work assigned and provide nightly updates to the Operations Manager. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information and operations. Perform other duties as assigned. Core Competencies Ability to troubleshoot problems, communicate and collaborate to find solutions Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks efficiently Ability to communicate in a professional manner. Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safety protocols Ability to understand and apply procedures and regulations Attention to detail and strong time management Reliability is a critical requirement for this role
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, operate equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be comfortable working at heights and able to safely climb and work from ladders. Ability to withstand odors emitted by cleaning materials and chemicals while using proper PPE. The successful candidate must acknowledge the risks associated with hazardous chemicals and be willing to review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to identify hazards to determine appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) prior to use.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
