A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
PORTERAt SpaceX, we re leveraging our experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world s most advanced broadband internet system. Starlink is the world s largest satellite constellation and is providing fast, reliable internet to 12M+ users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system thousands of satellites, consumer antennae that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We ve only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink s potential global impact, and that work starts here at our Redmond Campus. We are looking for experienced food service personnel to help us create world-class experiences for our growing teams.
As a porter at SpaceX, you will be interacting with our guests (employees), fellow staff members, and management staff in our private restaurant as well as throughout the campus, in a polite and courteous manner. You will also help with restocking supplies, staging for takeaway options, and other duties assigned by kitchen management.
Level 1: $22.00/hourLevel 2: $23.00/hourLevel 3: $24.00/hourYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Employees in Washington State accrue paid sick time in compliance with state and federal law. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.

Demonstrate sanitation and food safety practices consistentlyHelp evaluate receiving spaces to ensure a safe and secure environmentComplete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks timely and accuratelyFollow company safety standards and look out for the safety of other team members and guestsCoordinate job duties around other team members to help ensure efficient preparation for opening of servicePut food order away accurately and rotate stock in cooler, freezer, and dry storage area using the first in-first out (FIFO) method while monitoring shelf life and code datesMaintain a basic working knowledge of the operation of all the equipment in the restaurantBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalency certificate1+ year of either restaurant experience, warehouse experience, and/or customer service experiencePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
