Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Maintain the cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance. Operate cleaning machinery including vacuums, floor buffers, carpet extractors, and other custodial equipment efficiently. Restock supplies such as paper products, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to promote a secure environment for yourself and others. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks when required, including basic repairs or reporting issues promptly. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any cleaning-related concerns from staff or visitors courteously and professionally. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following safety protocol adherence guidelines. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly while maintaining safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and respond to customer service needs. Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures including floor buffing and floor care techniques is a plus. Ability to follow safety procedures consistently and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
