A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Job Summary:
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized facility for Summit Golf Brands by performing daily cleaning, trash removal, and floor care, along with light equipment operation and general supply upkeep.
Reports to:
Facilities & Maintenance Manager Schedule:
Day shift, standard business hours
Duties/Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas on a daily schedule. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility, including production and warehouse areas. Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, and other light cleaning equipment; perform routine equipment cleaning and basic upkeep. Operate a pressure washer for exterior surfaces, dock areas, and other assigned spaces as needed. Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from all areas of the facility, and manage dumpster/compactor upkeep. Restock restroom, break room, and cleaning supplies; monitor inventory levels and flag shortages to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager. Perform minor upkeep tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and reporting maintenance issues that require a technician. Wipe down and disinfect high-touch surfaces (door handles, railings, switches) on a regular rotation. Set up and break down rooms or spaces for meetings, events, or visitors as requested. Follow all safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment, including proper labeling and storage. Report facility damage, safety hazards, or repair needs promptly to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager. Maintain janitorial closets, carts, and equipment in clean, organized, and ready-to-use condition.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to safely operate light cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and safety procedures. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete a daily task list with minimal supervision. Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, professional facility. Basic ability to identify and report facility or equipment issues. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs., stand and walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive bending, kneeling, and reaching. Comfortable working around production machinery, warehouse equipment, and varying facility conditions.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities cleaning work preferred. Experience operating floor care equipment (scrubbers, buffers) and pressure washers is a plus. A reliable, team-first attitude and willingness to take direction from the Facilities & Maintenance Manager.
