3rd Shift Job Summary The Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary food production environment. This position involves cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, work areas, floors, and other facility areas in accordance with company food safety, sanitation, and GMP standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clean and sanitize food production equipment, machinery, floors, walls, and work areas. Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed for proper cleaning. Follow established sanitation procedures and food safety requirements. Use cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment safely and properly. Remove food debris, grease, and buildup from production areas and equipment. Operate hoses, pressure washers, scrubbers, and other cleaning equipment. Follow all GMP, PPE, and safety procedures. Maintain proper chemical labeling and storage. Inspect cleaned areas and equipment to ensure sanitation standards are met. Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or sanitation concerns to a supervisor. Dispose of waste and debris according to company procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in wet, cold, or humid production environments. Ability to work around cleaning chemicals while following proper safety procedures. Ability to wear required PPE, including gloves, protective clothing, hair/beard restraints, and other safety equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Qualifications Previous sanitation, janitorial, food production, or manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to cleanliness and detail. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work overnight hours. Must follow all company food safety, GMP, PPE, and sanitation requirements. Food Safety & GMP Requirements Because this is a food production facility, employees are expected to maintain strict personal hygiene and sanitation standards at all times. Hair must be properly restrained, and facial hair must be covered with a beard net when required. Jewelry, fake nails, and facial jewelry are not permitted on the production floor. All required PPE must be worn and all food safety procedures must be followed. #MS3
