Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure health standards are maintained across all areas. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and janitorial tools efficiently. Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing as needed. Manage outdoor work responsibilities such as sweeping walkways or maintaining outdoor cleanliness when required. Practice manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of furniture or equipment safely and effectively. Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service. Requirements Proven experience in custodial work, janitorial services, or residential housekeeping is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning detergents, surface sanitation, floor care products, and proper use of cleaning equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with efficiency. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and complete assignments promptly. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior spaces when needed. Basic understanding of cleaning procedures including dusting, surface sanitation, carpet cleaning, and floor maintenance.
