What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
About the Role Join our team at the YMCA, where we create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all. This position reports to the Facility Director and supports overall facility maintenance, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep of YMCA equipment and spaces. The role also assists with janitorial services and responds to emergency repairs as needed.
Part-time:
9:00 AM-4:00 PM | 25-30 Hours Per Week Key Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Must successfully pass a background check Ability to go up and down stairs and perform physical tasks Knowledge of cleaning methods, tools, and equipment Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals , including their safe and efficient use Preferred Qualifications Previous custodial or maintenance experience in a public facility or similar environment Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and proper chemical handling Why Join the YMCA?FREE YMCA
