Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces at high standards of cleanliness. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly. Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate teams. Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for all staff and visitors. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers and other custodial tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocol adherence. Strong manual handling skills with experience in heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to sanitation and cleanliness standards. Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach when interacting with staff or visitors.
