Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Afternoon/Evening Cleaning Associate to join our facilities maintenance team. This role is essential in ensuring that our premises remain clean, sanitized, and well-maintained during the late hours of the day. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive cleaning tasks across various areas, utilizing appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents while adhering to safety protocols. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with janitorial and custodial experience to contribute to a safe and hygienic environment. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using floor scrubbers, mops, and other cleaning equipment. Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure working environment. Conduct sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards in all designated areas. Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and scrubbers efficiently and safely. Assist with custodial tasks including trash removal, restocking supplies, and light maintenance duties. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities, including proper manual handling and heavy lifting techniques Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience is highly preferred, particularly in commercial or industrial settings. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, and vacuums. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards. Experience with manual handling and safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Background in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is advantageous. Proven ability to work independently during evening hours with minimal supervision.
