Duties Perform routine cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums. Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination. Conduct heavy lifting tasks with proper safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and restocking supplies in restrooms and break areas. Operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers and carpet cleaners to ensure high-quality floor care and buffing. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting projects when required. Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the proper use of cleaning equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or painting is a plus.
