Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic General Cleaner to join our team on the first shift. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold cleanliness standards. Operate commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning and disinfecting purposes, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment using proper lifting practices to prevent injury. Maintain facilities by performing light maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and reporting larger issues to maintenance teams. Follow established safety procedures during cleaning operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with industrial or commercial cleaning projects as needed, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and thoroughly. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures. Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely and understanding of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while practicing safe lifting practices. Prior experience operating floor buffers or similar equipment is preferred. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
