Custodian Maintenance

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or residential cleaning, janitorial tasks, and facilities maintenance. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Prior custodial experience, including floor care and industrial cleaning, is highly valued. The Custodian will work diligently to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all areas of the facility Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas according to established protocols Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively Support industrial cleaning projects when required, including high dust or debris removal Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or contamination during custodial duties Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings Skills in floor care, and general maintenance are highly desirable Experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals is beneficial Previous porter or facilities maintenance roles can provide valuable insight into the responsibilities of this position This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe and clean environment while developing skills in facilities upkeep.
