What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Service Department Tasks:
- Shuttle customers when needed.
- Obtain and stage courtesy transportation vehicles for advisors when needed.
- Continually check customer seating, coffee, TV, etc. in lounge. (are customers comfortable?)
- Keep seat and floor covers stocked at the advisor station.
- Clear snow, debris, and treat sidewalks when needed.
- Assist customers with clearing snow from vehicles at "pick up" time.
- Empty sidewalk trash cans daily.
- Help answer phones when needed.
- Alternate lunch schedule with advisors.
- Train to point of "covering positions" at front desk during Service Dept.
Parts Department Tasks:
- Put up and receipt in part shipments daily. (If needed)
- Perform 2 shelves of physical inventory continuously.
- Make parts runs to obtain parts. (When needed)
- Assist with semiannual or annual physical inventories.
- Purge old warranty parts.
