Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Part Time Janitor and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This energetic position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to the overall cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities. You will be responsible for executing a variety of custodial tasks, ensuring that all areas are spotless, well-maintained, and adhere to safety standards. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create an inviting space for employees, visitors, and clients alike. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning and sanitation processes, following all safety protocols for chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed while practicing safe lifting practices. Maintain cleanliness by dusting surfaces, emptying trash receptacles, sanitizing high-touch areas, and replenishing supplies. Follow established safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate personnel. Support industrial cleaning or commercial cleaning projects when required, ensuring high standards of sanitation are met. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools is advantageous. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures is highly desirable to ensure safe work practices. Experience with facilities maintenance or general upkeep tasks enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocol adherence is essential. Strong attention to detail and commitment to sanitation standards are key qualities for this position.
Pay:
$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
