Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination Conduct heavy lifting tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and restocking supplies in designated areas Execute routine maintenance tasks including minor repairs, floor care treatments like buffing and polishing, and residential painting as needed Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or issues requiring professional repair or further attention Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques Skilled in handling cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and other custodial tools Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures to ensure safe use of cleaning products Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary Experience in industrial cleaning or Porter roles that require attention to detail and efficiency Knowledge of sanitation standards, facilities maintenance practices, and safety protocol adherence for a secure work environment Embark on a rewarding journey where your efforts directly contribute to a cleaner, safer space for everyone.
