Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Helper and be a vital part of delivering delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment! This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills, gain valuable kitchen experience, and contribute to a vibrant food service operation. As a Kitchen Helper, you will support the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety standards are met. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests. Duties Assist with food preparation including slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients following established recipes and standards Operate basic kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and dishwashers safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to meet food safety regulations Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety compliance Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs Collaborate with kitchen staff to uphold safety standards in production areas and adhere to sanitation protocols Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or food service setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation techniques, and culinary practices is advantageous Experience operating kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, or ovens is beneficial Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation standards in a restaurant or catering environment is highly valued Strong communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen team members Basic knife skills, slicing techniques, and understanding of recipe adherence are desirable Prior work in the food industry or catering experience will help you excel in this role Embark on a rewarding journey where your contributions directly impact the quality of meals served!
