Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Firehouse Subs Team Member and become the heart of our fast-paced, customer-focused restaurant! In this energetic role, you'll deliver exceptional food service experiences by preparing delicious subs, managing customer orders efficiently, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create memorable moments for every guest while supporting daily operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills, master POS systems, and thrive in a vibrant food industry setting. Responsibilities Prepare high-quality food items following established recipes and safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction. Operate POS systems such as Aloha and Micros to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Take customer orders with enthusiasm, upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including food prep areas, dining zones, and kitchen equipment, adhering to sanitation guidelines. Handle cash register operations, process cash and card transactions, and manage cash handling responsibilities responsibly. Assist with food safety management by following proper food handling procedures and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Support team members in bussing tables, sanitation tasks, and overall restaurant cleanliness to uphold a safe and inviting environment. Requirements Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is preferred but not required; a passion for food service is essential. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus; strong basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining food safety standards. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy periods without sacrificing quality or service. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude that creates a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Experience in food preparation, serving, cashiering, or retail sales transactions is highly desirable. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment.
