This is a cross-trained position that may include cooking on the fryer, expediting orders, operating the cash register, washing dishes, cleaning, stocking, and assisting wherever needed. Food-truck team members must be flexible, energetic, customer-focused, and able to work efficiently in a small, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Fryer and Cooking Safely operate fryers and other approved food-truck cooking equipment. Prepare menu items according to Forever Grateful recipes, portions, and presentation standards. Monitor food temperatures and cooking times. Maintain safe fryer-oil levels and report equipment concerns immediately. Handle hot food, oil, utensils, and equipment safely. Keep cooking stations clean, stocked, and organized. Expeditor Read order tickets and communicate clearly with cooks and cashiers. Organize orders and ensure all items, sauces, sides, drinks, and utensils are included. Confirm order accuracy, presentation, and portion size before service. Help maintain a steady and efficient flow of orders during busy periods. Communicate delays or unavailable items promptly. Cashier and Customer Service Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service. Take accurate orders and process cash, card, and electronic payments. Answer menu questions and communicate special requests or food-allergy concerns. Provide receipts and correct change. Keep the register and service window clean and organized. Dishwashing, Cleaning, and Stocking Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pans, and food-service equipment. Refill food, beverages, condiments, containers, and cleaning supplies. Clean and sanitize counters, equipment, sinks, floors, and service areas. Remove trash and dispose of grease and waste according to company procedures. Assist with loading, unloading, setting up, and breaking down the food truck. Complete opening and closing checklists. General Expectations Follow all health-department, food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety requirements. Follow company recipes, portion-control standards, and customer-service expectations. Report low inventory, food-safety concerns, injuries, spills, or equipment problems immediately. Work cooperatively and respectfully with all team members. Be willing to rotate between positions based on operational needs. Qualifications Restaurant, food-truck, fryer, cashier, or customer-service experience is preferred not required. Ability to work quickly without sacrificing food quality, safety, or accuracy. Ability to follow instructions and accept coaching. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Dependable transportation, punctuality, and consistent attendance. Must be comfortable working in a small, hot, and fast-moving environment. Must be willing to obtain a ServSage food-handler (required) or ServSafe Managers certification. Access to Redstone Arsenal or willingness and ability to complete any required access process may be necessary for certain assignments. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements. Ability to work around hot fryers, steam, cooking equipment, food, and cleaning products. Ability to work outdoors and in changing weather conditions. Schedule and Travel This position may require early-morning, daytime, evening, weekend, holiday, catering, and special-event availability. Employees may work at different locations throughout the Madison and Huntsville (Madison County) area. Pay:
$13.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 35.0 per week
