Job Description
Job Summary Dragon Alley is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Kitchen Team Member to support daily kitchen operations and help prepare quality food for every guest. This position will assist with food preparation, cooking, plating, kitchen organization, cleaning, restocking, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen. Key Responsibilities Assist with preparing ingredients and menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards Wash, cut, chop, portion, and prepare ingredients as needed Assist cooks and other kitchen team members during food preparation and service Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food-quality standards Prepare and plate food accurately and efficiently Check food for quality, freshness, temperature, and presentation Maintain clean and organized preparation, cooking, and storage areas Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, counters, and workstations Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils as assigned Restock ingredients, food products, containers, and kitchen supplies Properly store, label, and rotate food items Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Help maintain proper kitchen organization throughout each shift Remove trash and keep floors and work areas clean Communicate ingredient shortages, equipment issues, or food-quality concerns to supervisors Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties Work closely with front-of-house and back-of-house team members during busy service periods Complete other kitchen duties assigned by management Requirements Previous kitchen, restaurant, food-service, or hospitality experience preferred but not required Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Reliable attendance and punctuality Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine kitchen duties Ability to lift, carry, and move moderate loads as required Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Skills Food preparation or cooking experience Experience working in a busy restaurant kitchen Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Basic knife and kitchen equipment skills Strong organization and time-management abilities Ability to multitask during busy meal periods Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to learn recipes and kitchen procedures quickly Ability to work effectively as part of a team Benefits Benefits may vary based on position, employment status, location, and eligibility.
