Job Summary We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and friendly Kitchen Assistant to join our church staff. The Kitchen Assistant supports the kitchen staff with food preparation, service, and cleanup of meals and refreshments for church programs, events, meetings, and other activities. Responsibilities also include assisting with kitchen setup and cleanup, washing dishes, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and helping ensure food is prepared and served safely. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, keeping things organized, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. Previous kitchen or food-service experience is helpful, but a positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are especially important.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and clean up for meals and events Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment Assist with organizing food, supplies, and inventory Work cooperatively with staff and volunteers Provide welcoming and courteous service Perform other kitchen-related duties as needed

Qualifications:

Dependable and punctual Able to work on your feet and lift up to 40 lbs. Kitchen experience a plus, but not required
