Little Red Hen is seeking a patient, creative, and encouraging Instructor / Direct Service Provider for our Kitchen Adult Day Program, serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You'll help create a fun, inclusive kitchen day program where members feel valued, build confidence, and develop everyday skills. From preparing meals to building functional life skills, celebrating a new accomplishment, you'll make learning meaningful and enjoyable. What you'll do: Lead hands-on activities in cooking, meal planning, nutrition, kitchen safety, and everyday living skills. Adapt activities to members' interests, abilities, and support needs so everyone can participate. Provide respectful, person-centered support that encourages choice and independence. Foster teamwork, friendships, and a welcoming environment. Help keep the kitchen clean, organized, and safe. Work with the team to document participation and progress toward individual goals. Basic Requirements:
Be at least 18 years old. Complete Live Scan fingerprinting and obtain required criminal record clearance or an approved exemption before starting work. Provide a health screening and negative TB test results within licensing-required timeframes. Obtain and maintain current First Aid and CPR training. Complete required training in member care and supervision, emergency procedures, infection prevention, and mandated reporting. Protect each member's rights, dignity, safety, and independence.
