Job Summary Join the team at Nations Giant Hamburgers as a Restaurant Crew Member and help us provide friendly service and freshly prepared food to our guests. Nation's began as a small hot dog stand in San Pablo, California, in 1952 and has grown into a family-owned Northern California tradition known for giant hamburgers, heart breakfasts, and fresh pies. In this fast-paced role, you may prepare breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, fries, pies, and other menu items; take customer orders; operate the register; and keep the restaurant clean and organized. We are looking for dependable, positive team members who enjoy working with people and take pride in quality food, excellent service, and a welcoming restaraunt environment. Paid training is provided, and prior restaurant experience is preferred. Duties Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Toast POS to process customer orders accurately and efficiently. Manage customer orders with enthusiasm, upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales. Handle cash register operations, process cash and card transactions, and give accurate change. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including food prep areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment. Ensure food safety standards are met by practicing proper sanitation, food handling, and hygiene procedures. Assist in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food preparation tasks. Requirements Previous experience preparing breakfast items and working in a fast-paced restaurant cook line is preferred. Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is highly preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety management practices. Familiarity with POS systems. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy hours. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude. Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales transactions. Capable of standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires availability during weekends and major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and New Year's, based on business needs due to higher pie sale volume.
