THE ROLE VOX
Kitchen is looking for a dependable and guest-focused Floor Assistant to support our front-of-house team. This position plays an important role in keeping the dining room clean, organized, and running efficiently while assisting with food delivery and providing excellent guest service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Clear used tableware between courses and provide clean tableware as needed. Clear and reset tables promptly after guests leave. Transport dishes, glassware, silverware, and other tableware to designated dishwashing areas. Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, booths, and surrounding dining areas between seatings. Maintain clean floors and guest areas throughout the shift. Assist with prompt and accurate food delivery to guests. Respond professionally and promptly to guest requests. Assist servers and other front-of-house team members as needed. Thank guests as they leave and help maintain a welcoming dining environment. Attend required employee meetings and training sessions. Perform other duties consistent with the position and restaurant operations as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS 6
months to 1 year of restaurant, hospitality, or similar experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and team members. Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and food-safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, stand for extended periods, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to safely handle and transport hot plates and dishes using appropriate safety procedures. California Food Handler Card required within 30 days of hire. Employer-paid training/examination and compensated training time will be provided in accordance with California law. Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification required within 60 days of employment if job duties include serving or delivering alcoholic beverages.
