Required Years of Experience 3 years Job Details The Blue Box Café is seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Garde Manger to join our culinary team. This role is essential to delivering an exceptional guest experience through the precise preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, fine dining setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, assemble, and finish a variety of hot and cold menu items with consistency, precision, and attention to detail

Execute dishes according to established recipes, plating standards, and service timelines

Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods

Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries, ensuring all products meet quality standards

Rotate stock and manage station inventory to minimize waste and ensure freshness

Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety in accordance with Health Department regulations and Dinex Group standards

Accurately follow recipes, including measurements and basic culinary math, to ensure consistency and cost control

Work collaboratively with the kitchen team, maintaining clear and professional communication during prep and service

Support overall kitchen operations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a team-first mindset

Qualifications:
  • Culinary school graduate or minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a high-volume or fine dining environment
  • Foundational knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and service flow
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn, grow, and take direction
  • Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
  • High standards for cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail
  • A culinary degree is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
