You will prepare ingredients, cook classic snack bar items, take customer orders, and maintain a spotless kitchen environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses basic culinary skills, and delivers excellent customer service with a smile. Prep Cook Duties (Back of House)

Ingredient Preparation:

Wash, peel, chop, and portion vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients according to health guidelines and portion control standards.

Cooking & Operation:

Operate light kitchen equipment including commercial fryers, flat-top grills, warmers, and microwave ovens to prepare standard menu items (e.g., burgers, hot dogs, fries, nachos).

Inventory & Restocking:

Monitor food levels, restock assembly lines, and notify management when supplies or ingredients are running low.

Food Safety:

Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure all items are stored and served safely. Snack Shack Attendant Duties (Front of House)

Guest Service:

Greet customers warmly, take food and beverage orders accurately, and answer menu questions.

Order Fulfillment:

Assemble, package, and serve hot food, grab-and-go snacks, ice cream, and beverages.

POS Handling:

Efficiently operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, process credit, or member card transactions, and accurately balance the register at the end of the shift.

Cleanliness & Maintenance Sanitation:

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace across the prep kitchen and front counter.

Dishwashing:

Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, pots, and cooking equipment throughout the day.

Closing Procedures:

Deep-clean cooking surfaces, empty trash receptacles, and secure all food products at the end of the operating hours.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Previous experience in food prep, fast food, concessions, or customer service is preferred but not required.

Certifications:

Must possess or be willing to obtain a Riverside County Food Handler's Card, and TIPS Certification.

Mathematical Skills:

Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measuring recipe ingredients.

Communication:

Strong verbal communication skills to interact positively with both team members and guests. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of an 8-hour shift. Ability to lift, carry, and push items weighing up to 40 pounds (e.g., boxes of frozen food, ice bags, beverage syrups). Ability to work comfortably in environments with elevated temperatures near grills and fryers.
