The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain clean and organized work areas, support cooks during busy service periods, and help ensure food is prepared safely and consistently according to restaurant standards. Key Responsibilities Assist with preparing ingredients and menu items according to restaurant standards Wash, cut, portion, season, and organize ingredients as directed Support cooks and kitchen staff during busy service periods Prepare food accurately and efficiently while following recipes and procedures Assist with plating, portioning, and presentation of food Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen work areas Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment Restock ingredients, food products, containers, and kitchen supplies Check food products for quality, freshness, and proper storage Properly label and store prepared food and ingredients Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries when required Remove trash, food waste, and debris from kitchen areas Assist with sweeping, mopping, and general kitchen cleaning Work closely with cooks, servers, and other restaurant team members Assist with opening, closing, and daily kitchen duties Perform additional responsibilities assigned by restaurant management Requirements Previous kitchen, restaurant, food-service, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures Strong attention to cleanliness and detail Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks Ability to lift, carry, and move moderate loads when required Reliable attendance and punctuality Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive compensation Flexible scheduling options On-the-job training Supportive and team-oriented work environment Employee meal or discount opportunities may be available Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Benefits may vary based on position, location, employment status, and eligibility.
