As a Sushi Helper, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and efficiency, ensuring every plate served meets our quality expectations. Responsibilities Assist chefs with preparing ingredients such as rice, fish, vegetables, and seaweed for sushi rolls and sashimi. Support the assembly of sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including washing dishes and sanitizing utensils. Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and maintaining hygiene standards. Help with portioning ingredients accurately to ensure consistency across dishes. Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels. Follow all safety protocols related to food preparation, knife handling, and kitchen equipment operation. Requirements Tuesday to Sunday at 4pm Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices. Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is advantageous. Familiarity with kitchen tools such as knives and other culinary equipment. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude towards learning new culinary skills. Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food handling safety, and customer service.
