Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and Japanese speaking Sushi Salesperson to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the face of our sushi offerings, providing exceptional service and expert knowledge to our guests. Your enthusiasm for Japanese cuisine, combined with your sales skills and food industry experience, will help create memorable dining experiences. This position offers a dynamic environment where your passion for food and customer relations can truly shine. You will not be required to know how to cut fish. Duties Greet guests warmly and provide detailed information about our sushi menu, including ingredients and preparation methods Assist customers in selecting sushi and related products, upselling where appropriate to enhance their experience Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and credit card processing Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food handling areas, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations Manage inventory levels of sushi ingredients and supplies, coordinating with kitchen staff for timely restocking Support beverage service, including wine, spirits, and cocktail offerings, enhancing the overall guest experience Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction Experience Previous food service or restaurant experience, preferably in a sushi or Japanese cuisine setting Fluent Japanese speaker Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety standards in a restaurant environment Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively Knowledge of beverage service including wine, spirits, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently Background in hospitality or guest services that emphasizes guest relations and customer satisfaction Join us to bring authentic Japanese sushi to life through exceptional service and culinary expertise.
